PTSD can lock the brain in survival mode long after the danger is gone.

TMS is a non-invasive, medication-free therapy that helps calm overactive fear circuits.

It’s especially helpful for patients who haven’t responded to traditional treatments like talk therapy or medication.
What Is PTSD?
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric condition triggered by a traumatic event - either experienced directly or witnessed. Common causes include:
- Military combat
- Abuse or assault
- Serious accidents
- Repeated trauma over time
PTSD disrupts the brain’s ability to regulate mood, emotion, and memory - keeping the body in a constant state of “fight or flight.”

What Happens in the Brain?
Three key brain regions become disrupted in PTSD:
- Amygdala – Becomes overactive, sensing threat constantly
- Hippocampus – Shrinks, limiting memory processing and safety learning
- Prefrontal Cortex – Fails to calm the amygdala or put memories into context
TMS helps
regulate this overactive circuitry, allowing the brain to safely reset.

How TMS Helps PTSD
TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) uses magnetic pulses to stimulate or inhibit targeted brain areas - most often the right side for PTSD.
Improves mood regulation
Interrupts the trauma loop
Minimal side effects
Although not yet FDA-approved specifically for PTSD, TMS has shown strong results in numerous clinical studies, particularly in patients who haven’t responded to:
SSRIs or other antidepressants
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
EMDR or Exposure Therapy
